"If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people." Chinese proverb

The various agricultural operations take care of the short and medium term requirements but as this Chinese proverb correctly puts it, when planning for a lifetime educate people.
This is a strong element of our work in both our current buildings and the community of Baan Nam Khem which we are moving into. The education programs are in a joint venture partnership with Victoria University and are not just aimed at the children but also the staff and the broader community. We currently have a number of programs running including sponsoring Thai orphanage staff members to travel to Australia for a period of three months to undergo intensive English language training.
